Nice enough game, I have some suggestions to make it more exciting. A speed bar moves right to left over X seconds, if the player fails to take their turn before the energy bar reaches zero the computer will select a colour for the player. Clearly the bigger the map, the slightly more time the player should have to take their turn.
Also to make the game look a little better you could use coloured sprites of some nature to denote the colours instead of plain colours.
The area of the board that has already been filled could 'pulse-zoom' toward the screen without adversely distracting the player.
Finally if this donation-ware I'd also lock the keyboard after a number of key-presses (relative to board-size) to encourage people to make a donation.
Just some ideas really to improve on what you have here and at the same time encourage you to learn more about the language by putting some user feedback into practise.
