*****"jhead" (available on OS4 Depot) is required to use ExtraInfo!*****

"ExtraInfo" is another one of my 'bloated' programs that I made with Hollywood
2.5. I hope you enjoy it!

The idea of ExtraInfo is to provide some additional information for a variety of
different file types (supplementary to what you can get through "Icon
Information"). It is actually cross between the Icon Information window and
Multiview. For example:
*Exif information and picture preview is provided for jpeg images.
*Information for other Image files includes: Picture preview, image width and
height, and an additional note if the image has an alpha-channel.
*A thumbnail preview is provided for text files.
*Information for MP3 files includes: Music duration, title and author (ID3
tags---v1 and v2).
*Music modules (protracker) can be played and paused through the ExtraInfo
window.
*Drawer information includes: Number of first level files and drawers, number of
files and drawers found in a recursive scan, as well as a listing of the number
of icons, images, sound/music, and files contained therein.
*Icons (.info file) that do not have files associated with them are identified.

Additionally, for any type of file, the Icon Information window can be launched
from the ExtraInfo window; and the file itself can also be launched (according
to its DefIcon settings) from the ExtraInfo window.

Usage:
Select any file with a single click of your mouse button (making the icon
active), then start ExtraInfo through an assigned hotkey or menu option.
ExtraInfo also works with multiple file selections in the active window.

Installation:
Copy the entire ExtraInfo drawer to whatever location you desire (Utillities or
some such place).
ExtraInfo can NOT be used through its icon or through CLI. It can be assigned to
a hotkey combination (using a program like FKey, AllKeys, or MMKeyboard); it can
also be added as an option in either "ContextMenus" or "AddMenu" (available on
OS4 Depot). If you add ExtraInfo to ContextMenus or AddMenu, you must reboot
your amiga for the changes to take effect. You can also use ExtraInfo through
AmiDock; however, you should NOT try dragging and dropping files onto the icon
on AmiDock; rather, select which ever files you want to examine and then simply
click on the ExtraInfo icon in AmiDock.

In order to configure "ContextMenus", you need to add a new line in each section
that you would like to be able to use ExtraInfo (SingleIcon, Directory, Drawer,
Project) in your System:Prefs/Env-Archive/ContextMenus.cfg file. These lines may
look like:
SingleIcon,Extra Info,CLI,SYS:Utilities/ExtraInfo/ExtraInfo
Multiple,Extra Info,CLI,SYS:Utilities/ExtraInfo/ExtraInfo
Drawer,Extra Info,CLI,SYS:Utilities/ExtraInfo/ExtraInfo
Project,Extra Info,CLI,SYS:Utilities/ExtraInfo/ExtraInfo
(Just make sure to fix the path for wherever you chose to install ExtraInfo.)

In order to configure "AddMenu", you need to add a new line to the menu section
that you would like to be able to use ExtraInfo (such as UTILITIES). Your line
might look something like this.
 MENU ADD NAME Extra Info TITLE 'UtilitiesExtraInfo'  CMD "'ADDRESS COMMAND;
WBRun ''SYS:UTILITIES/EXTRAINFO/ExtraInfo''"
(Again, just make sure to fix the path for wherever you chose to install
ExtraInfo.)

Before using ExtraInfo, make sure to drop a copy of the "jhead" executable into
the "AdditionalPrograms" drawer.

*As is probably quite obvious, Mason is the artistic tallent behind the icon
images.

Future:
*Any suggestions that you might have.

History:
Version 1.2 (7/17/07):
*Fixed the "bug" that showed up when starting multiple instances of ExtraInfo,
which means that now the "Multiple" switch in ContextMenus can be used, and also
"drag and drop" can now be used if ExtraInfo is used through AmiDock.

Version 1.1 (7/14/07):
*Updated the ReadMe.
*Added an explanatory message (in place of the error message) if ExtraInfo is
started without having any files selected.

Version 1.0 (7/13/07):
*First attempt.

*********** If you like this program and would like to drop me some e-mail or
PayPal encouragement (or if you have any suggestions to make it better) my
