This utility measures effective bandwidth of both cache & memory subsystems. It
runs from a command prompt and is written entirely in C (though benchmark
routines are also coded in several assembly languages). So far it was tested
successfully (in chronological order) with FreeBSD, Linux, NetBSD, Digital
UNIX (also known as DEC OSF/1 and Compaq Tru64 UNIX).
