New v2.2 now scales and plays mpeg-1 files with audio!
M-pegIt is a program to play, select and capture frames from an Mpeg video
file and save them as bitmap (.bmp) graphics files. As of Version 2.0 it
supports two use modes, "Auto Mode" and "Manual Mode".
The original "Auto Mode" provides the ability to set a range of frames along
with a "Skip Frame" value to automatically capture a series of frames.
"Manual Mode" provides the capability to view and step through frames, 1, 10,
or 100 at a time and capture the currently viewed frame. This makes it easy
to capture the exact frame you want.
New in version 2.2 is the ability to play and pause the video with optional
audio. In addition the video can be scaled and the captured frame will be
saved at the displayed currently displayed size.
This program was inspired by the open source project 'dumpmpeg' written
by David Hedbor Copyright(c) 2000, 2001. AmigaOS 4.0 compile by
Spot / Up Rough 2006. While inspired by 'dumpmpeg', none of the source
code is used in M-pegit.
M-pegIt uses the SDL and SMPEG link libraries for manipulating and displaying
the mpeg files. See http://www.libsdl.org/ for information on the SDL
libraries and http://www.lokigames.com/development/smpeg.php3 for more
information on the SMPEG library.
