This is the latest version of the AmigaOS 4 port of ID Software's famous
first-person shooter game Quake 1.
Changes in this release (v2.40):
- Merged V2.21 changes with the old V2.30 release
- Made corrections to support higher resolution modes and added 1680x1050
mode to the in-game video selection menu
- Added "Triple-buffering" checkbox to starter GUI
- Added stack cookie to fix issues when launching from shell with
low stack
Changes in the previous release (v2.21):
- Fixed Cgfx mode to lock BitMap (it was illegally performing direct
BitMap access without locking the BitMap, causing corruptions)
- Added triplebuffering on OS4 to remove raster cuts/banding artifacts
at the cost of 1-2fps (can be disabled with -notriplebuffer)
- Disabled use of Temp RastPort for WPA8 under OS4 (it was slower)
- Compiled with a more recent SDK, making it a little bit faster, and
now it works perfectly on Sam440
