Datatype for the Spectrum video memory format commonly known as
SCR or SCREEN$. This is the 6912 bytes of data starting at 16384
in the Spectrum's memory. It is commonly saved by Spectrum
emulators.
The datatype also supports Timex hi-colour and monochrome hi-res
modes which are an extension of the original format. See
http://www.worldofspectrum.org/faq/reference/tmxreference.htm
for details.
To install, use the provided Installer script. It will disable
the old 68k ZX datatype if you have that installed. If you
decide to install manually, make sure you move the old ZX
descriptor into SYS:Storage/Datatypes.
History
1.3 (03.05.2008)
* Added Timex hi-colour and hi-res modes (thanks to James Weatherley)
* Screens which have the FLASH attribute on them are now decoded as
two pictures - one in the "regular" state, and one in the "inverse"
state. See Examples/ManicMiner.scr to see this in action.
1.2 (07.04.2007)
* Fixed a problem with colours "leaking" into adjacent character
blocks under certain circumstances.
