DEEP is a 24 bit chunky picture file as used by XiPaint and TVPaint. TVPP is a
TVPaint project file. It is very similar to DEEP but it stores the three edit
layers seperately along with a thumbnail of the complete picture.

The TVPP datatype allows you to choose which layer to load either through the
PDTA_WhichPicture tag or by a menu which is displayed before a picture is
loaded. The menu can be configured.

Both datatypes support the V43 API in order to load the full 24 bit graphics.
In
V40 mode the pictures are converted to greyscales.
