This is a quick and dirty port of amp 0.7.6 (originally by Tomislav Uzelac). It
has been quickly hacked to play MP3 files for OS4 via the AHI device 0. There is
no double buffering and no use of the asyncio library to improve output
breaks-ups, but it should do until the native mpega.library is released (hence
the quick release).
Edit: The mpega.library has just been released, oh well have this anyway.
You will need to do the following:
1/ Copy the AHI-Handler file from the latest AHI archive to the L directory
(this is not provided with OS4, and therefore will not be native).
2/ Make sure the AHI prefs have been set up for unit 0 under the prefs drawer.
3/ Launch amp from the command line by simple typing "amp". A requester will
appear for you to select an mpeg tune.
Extra options are displayed when you issue the -h
(You can double click the icon from WB as well).
Paul Heams.
