AISSView 1.2 28.04.2016 OVERVIEW -------- This release is a bit rough and ready (apologies for that), but functional. It is based on the sources of AISSViewer 0.20 by Frank Ruthe (originally based on work by Dave Norris. Updated by Simon Archer (sources included). CHANGES ------- AISSView 1.1 21.04.2016 Until now, AISSView was hard coded to work with a fixed set of images. While this worked fine, each time AISS is updated, AISSView needed to be updated to handle any extra images in the set. This version will now work with any future versions of AISS by using the aiss-icons.csv file that is included in each AISS distribution. You will need to copy the .csv file to either TBImages: or to the directory where this version of AISSView is installed. From there on in, any enhancements of AISS should be automatically detected. Most of the tooltypes have now been removed due to them being unnecessary. Namely those that pertain to the caching mechanism. Previous versions loaded images into RAM for quicker loading. This version has internal caching. When first loading some of the larger image categories, you may notice a slight delay while the images are loaded, but consequent accesses to those categories should be instant. The AmiUpdate variable handling is also now rather redundant due to the APPDIR: handling in later versions of AmigaOS, and as such that tooltype has been omitted too. One new tooltype has been added, namely HINTS, which tells AISSView to show gadget helphints by default. The VIEW tooltype has been kept, and allows the default view to switch between image and button creation mode. This version of AISSView also supports localisation, and the catalog descriptor has been included in the archive. AISSView 1.2 28.04.2016 Added the search feature. This is wilcarded, so the filename or description can contain the search criteria, rather than equalling it. THANKS ------ Of course goes to Dave Norris for his initial work on AISSView, and to Frank Ruthe for his work on updating it.
