X11 Emerald Mine © David Tritscher

aos4 change in new version: no more search for $HOME, everything is PROGDIR:

this is my emerald mine player.

use a joystick if you have one, otherwise the keys are:

arrow keys: player 1 move
right control: player 1 shoot

wdsa: player 2 move
left control: player 2 shoot

escape: quit/abort during the game

download these 50 000 levels to play:

on unix, unzip the levels in your home directory.
otherwise, unzip the levels in the same folder as the program.

it needs a polish, but its quite useable.

included in this zip archive is a compiled version for dos, windows,
amigaos, and sourcecode for building on other platforms. to compile
yourself, change directory to game/ and type make for further
instructions. tested on linux, windows, amigaos, dos, and solaris. if
it works for you on another platform, please drop me a note.

it understands some command line options:

emerald -f

will use fullscreen mode.

emerald -g 1x1

sets the size of the window to the smallest size. default is 2x2 which
seems to work well for most displays.

emerald -c original/ -c emc/

adds extra paths to search for cave files. the default directory is
cave/ in the current directory, and $HOME/cave/ on unixes.
