Of course I could make an independed version, but I wouldn't be able to add the Apache modules in this case. And finally I could use the Apache libraries libapr and libapr-util I've compiled for AAMP.
BTW: The new Apache (httpd) binary also contains two bugfixes,. I've found them while making the Subverion port.
