Author: Adri van Os Version: antiword version 0.36 (16 Oct 2004) Type: utility/text/convert Requires: AmigaOS 4 Antiword is a free MS Word reader for Linux and RISC OS. There are ports to FreeBSD, BeOS, OS/2, Mac OS X, Amiga, VMS, NetWare, Plan9, EPOC, Zaurus PDA, DOS and noe AmigaOS4. Antiword converts the binary files from Word 2, 6, 7, 97, 2000, 2002 and 2003 to plain text and to PostScript TM. Antiword tries to keep the layout of the document intact. Antiword is a work in progress and many features are still being developed. However, Antiword is usable on all but the most complex Word documents. This version is based on the 0.36 source and is able to convert Word documents to plain text, to PostScript, to PDF and to XML/DocBook. Compiled on AmigaOS4 by Andy Broad. <andy()broad.ology.org.uk> Based in part on the original Amiga port by Raffaele Pisapia. Please don't ask to the author about this specific port.
