It doesnt seem to flush all memory in one go, and needs to be executed many times in a row to flush everything that can be flushed. Well, Severin / Nick Clover has come up with a script to get around this. Simply copy this script to c: , and then type "flush" in shell to free your RAM in future. It will loop until its done. Heres an example of what it looked like when I tried it just now: 4.data1:downloads> flush Flushing... Flushed: 6472 kb. Flushed: 640 kb. Flushed: 652 kb. Flushed: 668 kb. Flushed: 640 kb. Flushed: 640 kb. Flushed: 384 kb. Flushed: 32 kb. Free ram before flush: 241812 kb. Free Ram after flush: 251780 kb. ram freed: 9968 kb. Isnt it neat?! Thank you Nick. :) Note: Make sure the +s protection bit is set, so you can execute this script by typing its name in shell, rather than "execute c:flush". NOTE: I did NOT make this script. Thank Nick Clover for his work, not me! |
