v2.7 confirmed working. Thanks.
BTW, I have just noticed that if DUALWINDOW and MINIME are not specified in the tooltypes, but had been previously stored in ENVARC:FindMore.data, it's as if they are specified - not intuitive/user-friendly.

Unfortunately I can't reproduce such problem on the X1000 so it's hard to figure out what's wrong.

Version 2.6 freezes completely my system (4.1 FE Update1 on A1 XE G4) upon quitting.

Sorry, I've forgotten to ask translators to make new v3 translations. I'll do that as soon as possible.

Hello, in this new version it seems that the catalog in Italian is not working. Curious.

Here it fails with 2.3, the GUI opens briefly and disappears then a CON window opens saying:

FindMore ERROR: Arexx obj not created

Very nice but one feature I'd like to see added is index files preferably xpk compressed for basic filename, size, date, filenote searches. Where this is most useful if for backed up files on dvd's etc.

For now I use:

list cd0: all files lformat "%10L %D %P%N %C" to work:<dvdname>.index

and search it with:

search work:<name>.indoex <string> nonum

search doesn't support compressed files though :(

The hotkey for Iconify is H but I had outdated language files in the archive. I'll update it in future. Thanks for bug reports. Email sent.

2)DUALWIN mode doesn't activate STOP button/image
3)ICONIFY hotkey 'I' is duplicated!! (INFORMATION)

Could you add a TOOLTYPE for specifying where FindMore will store it's data instead of ENVARC ?? A seperate TOOLTYPE specifying it's prefs location might be nice too.

Yes, it does, of course.

Layout gadget can't do that AFAIK. You can ask it in a thread on Amigans.net (BOOPSI improvment thread).

Hey great tool!

The UI suffers from a common ailment - too-many-boxes-itis.

Is it possible to remove the boxes around:
- the results list
- the clear/start/stop buttons
- the status bar

In addition in places where the boxes have a title these could simply be replaced with a horizontal line with a title. This would clean up the UI a fair bit.

Other than that I really like the general theme you are using with the version 1.8 screenshot!

Hello,

i really like FindMore and use it very often, but there is one task that i need that cannot be done with your program (or at least i don't know how...): it would be fantastic if i can explicitly serach for icons (.info-files), this filetype seem to be ignored at the moment.

@AlexC
Thanks reporting this. It was my stupid mistake. I forgot to add a name to the
path.

Clicking on a file in the results and selecting &quot;information&quot; from the
menu opens the information window for the drawer rather than the file.
I was expecting the opposite.
