[Show comments] [Show snapshots] [Show videos] [Show content] [Show crashlogs] FreeCNC - an open source Command & Conquer engine ------------------------------------------------- First of all: please read all documentation of FreeCNC to help you install files properly. This port is tested only with Command & Conquer demo, freely available from: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/cc1/previews/demo/cc1demo1.zip Also some music and video clips are available for that demo: ftp://ftp.westwood.com/pub/cc1/previews/demo/cc1demo2.zip More information about the project: http://freecnc-sf.holarse.net/ Installation ------------ The *.MIX files should go into FreeCNC/data/mix/ directory. Usage ----- FreeCNC has the following commandline options: (-help) Usage: freecnc [OPTIONS] -map mapname - Name of mission to load -w width - Width of screen -h height - Height of screen -bpp bpp - Video Depth -fullscreen - Use fullscreen mode -window - Use windowed mode -nosound - Play without sound -playvqa vqaname - Plays a VQA -grab - Grabs mouse input (locks mouse inside freecnc window) It seems to be so that player can only play 1 map at time, so you have to use -map parameter to try other maps. Maps available in demo are (at least): SCG01EA, SCG03EA, SCG05EA, SCG06EA, SCG10EA Known problems -------------- Sometimes crashes on exit. Red Alert demo doesn't seem to work. It complains about missing files :( Thanks ------ Again, my personal testing slave ToAks was heavily whipped. ToAks can be blamed also for icons and starting scripts. "libdl" was kindly provided by Hans-Jörg Frieden. |
