This is a patch that fixes some major and minor issues in "Exodus: The Last
War".

It is necessary that you installed a game from the full CD version (real or
virtual one doesn't matter) and apply all the latest updates.

Installation of the game with all official patches is not that easy, so there is
a full how-to from the start till the final how to make a usable version of
Exodus to play with:

--- HOW-TO-INSTALL A GAME ---

1. Grab the copy of the latest CD version with all CD-audio tracks. The best
choice will be to buy a downloadable version for just 5$ from APC-TCP:
http://exodus.apc-tcp.de/index-de.php

2. You also download the latest patch called "ExodusGFX_eng.lha", for example
from the same apc-tcp.de here:
http://www.amigafuture.de/downloads.php?view=detail&df_id=6

The archive is 197.446 KB in size.

3. Now you should install if you don't some necessary stuff written by Salas00
from http://os4depot.net:
   a). Diskimage.device
   b). cdplayer.library
   c). CDDAPatch

Diskimage.device you install from the installer, cdplayer.library just copy to
your system's LIBS: directory and CDDAPatch you just add to the commodities and
load it up from WBStartup to avoid any issues.

4. Once you read with everything, mount the .cue

! NOTE: Remember, if you mount .cue of exodus to ICD0, then in the tooltypes of
CDDAPatch you should set ICD0 as begin one of the patched devices.

5. Copy MANUALY whole "Exodus" dir. Didn't use their installer, it is full of
bugs.

6. Unpack ExodusGFX_eng somewhere (_NOT_ to Exodus dir). Also do not use the
installer there as well as it also buggy, but instead you do those manual steps:
a). Go to the shell, and run "ExodusCovGFX_ENG"
b). In "Destination path" select our Exodus directory and press "Start"
c). Once it converts all 177 fils close the window. It will freeze the OS,
but a conversion of files happens, and that is what we need. So, just reboot.

7. Now copy from unpacked ExodusGFX_eng.lha a file called "ExodusTLW_V21". That
is the main last "binary" of Exodus, which we will patch.

8. After that run our patch. Follow instructions (don't forget to choose the
RIGHT patch. There 2 different ones, one for Radeon RX/Radeon HD and another for
older Radeons).
You can also patch manually, of course, just use GPatch and choose the right
patch for you, and copy manually the new SetUp binary.

9. After all is done, run "SetUp" and :

a). choice "diskimage.device" and your Unit to which you mount your Exodus.cue
and which you set to patch in CDDAPatch. For me, it is usually unit 4 for IDC0.
b). for screen modes choose for both 640x480x8 (it does not matter actually
what you choose in the first one, as it is for intro-animation which don't work,
so not that important).
c). Set "Game Screen" to "HiRes". Set Skip Anim to skip anim. Disable CGX
direct. And set "Force Intuition Pointer" (for the moment their issues with CDDA
Audio having pauses in the gameplay, so set this one).
  d). "Save".

 10. run "ExodusTLW_V21". Enjoy!

HISTORY:

v.0.1:
-- new Reaction based preference binary (old one was buggy very much). Thanks
to Javier who wrote a new one.
-- fixed to works on RadeonHD/RX (the game wasn't aware of padding, and use
the old/default one which is 128 making it works only on older cards). Thanks to
Daniel and LiveForIt.
-- fixed DSI in the menu. Thanks to Daniel and Salas00
-- fixed DSIs on exit. Thanks to Daniel.

TODO:

		- fix remain padding issue for Radeon RX/HD (credits, loading bar)
		- when we have no CDDA device and set the "No CD-Audio" option game still
fails to run and still asks for CDDA device, while shouldn't.
		- made a screen be not "custom" but workbench alike, so we can amiga+m and see
it.
		- A mouse pointer is not all the time active from the first run (need to do
amiga+m , click on WB, and then back to the game)
		- fix hiccups of the game when CD-Audio is enabled. Forced intuition mouse
pointer fixes the move of mouse, but not the gameplay itself. maybe just rewrote
CD-Player and replace the old one.
		- cd audio track didn't stop when we exit from the game but play till the end.
Can be also auto-fixed when rewrote CD-Player (if).
		- to make intro movies work
