Notes
=====

Warnings about missing files are normal. Some of these files are in the addons
pack. ESC will quit the game immediately. Use Q to quit to the title screen. If
you are stuck in a menu, scroll down until you find "Go Back".

If you run the game from the command line, you can change resolution and zoom
options, and even start the game in anaglyph 3D mode.

Wait at the main menu and the game will show you a different title screen and
eventually go into demo mode, showing you the various levels throughout the
game.

Installing the addons pack (on OS4Depot) includes all of the downloadable levels
and more that were included in the SVN repository. The movie pack will add short
animated cutscenes when starting a level or dying (standard levels only).

Storyline
=========

An accident in the secret high-energy BlinkenArea lab has transfered
irreplaceable self-powered pixel hardware to various, random locations in
another dimension.

Your goal, Agent Kate, is to locate that hardware. We have fitted you with
an automated scanner/transmitter that will automatically transfer the pixels
back to the lab when you're close to it.

Beware that in dimension B15, while being still on earth, the scale of things
will differ from what you expect. Also, B15 is known to be home to strange
creatures that may pose a threat to you.

As soon as you have collected all pieces of hardware in one location, you
can be transfered to the next location.

Good luck, Agent Kate!

Controls
========

Either use the arrow keys (Left, Right, Up) or a joystick/gamepad (Left,Right;
Jump = Button 2). Use space bar to e.g. toggle switches.

Gameplay
========

On the start of every level you materialize at the inbound wormhole location,
which is visible to you as a BLUE animated gate.

You have to collect all BlinkenArea pixels (the slowly blinking rectangles)
by coming into touch with them. They will disappear when you do so and you
will be awarded some points. Already collected and total number is pixels
is shown in the upper left corner of the screen.

As soon as you have collected all pixels, the outbound gate will turn from
RED to GREEN. Move to that gate and you will get to the next level.

Monsters: You can kill monsters by jumping on them. Beware: monsters can
kill you if you just run into them.
Different monsters have different speed and abilities, so be careful if
you encounter a new monster you haven't seen before.

Puzzles: Sometimes pixels may be behind closed doors or may be hidden
completely.
To get to these, you will have to solve some puzzles, like turning on switches
or
collecting items. Solving puzzles may also help you get bonus lives.
