Therefore the version has gone up to 1.0 Limitations There is no music support. In my opion that is actually not really a limitation as the music from those days was really horrible. There is also no network support. Again, I don't really see that as a problem. The other limitation is with the hexen.wad data file. There seem to be 2 of them and one of them at the moment gives problems. If the character for instance gets stuck in the ground after teleporting, you have the wrong WAD file. Details about the correct and wrong version below: The WAD file without problems: File size: 20 128 392 bytes Date: Friday 13 october 1995 Time: 12:38 The WAD file with problems: File size : 20 083 672 bytes Date: Thursday 14 march 1996 Time: 01:01 Installation Put the Uhexen executable in a directory where you like and place the hexen.wad file in to that very same directory. I don't know what the minimum stack is because I haven't tested it. Use 200000 or something. If the game locksup or crashes use more. Commands UHexen at present accepts the following commands: - window runs the game in a window - mode runs the game in a certain screen mode with 1x1 pixel support. for instance -mode 640 480 or -mode 800 600 There seem to be more commands whilst browsing through the source but I still have to test them. I know that the -nosound command doesn't work. Thanks to. The entire OS 4 team and the beta lists for any help provided. A special thanks go to Steffen Haeuser for providing some old sources. This helped tracking down a lot of endian related problems which made it possible for this port to be finished sooner. Now, have fun playing the game. Contact me if the game crashes at some point.
