Aleph One engine allows you to play Marathon, Marathon Infinity and Marathon 2 games. * Features Port supports software rendering and "classic" OpenGL renderer. SW rendering is of course CPU-based, but it's also possible to choose the "compositing" backend which accelerates the scaling from the internal resolution to the final resolution. OpenGL renderer requires a working MiniGL installation (and Warp3D). There seems to be some issues left which can be worked around. Disable "Z buffer" and enable "3D objects" in the rendering options menu, otherwise sprites may be invisible. * Installation Data for Marathon games is available here: https://alephone.lhowon.org/ Another link: https://github.com/Aleph-One-Marathon/alephone/releases You should unpack them into corresponding directories, copy "alephone" binary to the same place and start the game. * Source code Some modifications, work arounds and fixes were done to get this game running. Source code is available here: https://github.com/capehill/alephone * Bugs Surely there isn't one but just in case, use the GitHub bug tracker... * License Aleph One is licensed under GPL v 3. This port is _statically_ linked (sorry about that) to various libraries, such as SDL2, SDL2_ttf, SDL2_net, freetype, z, Ogg, Vorbis and Vorbisfile. Please take a look at the "licenses" directory for further information. * Changes - Added a 200000-byte stack cookie - Fixed issue which caused black screen if user choosed OpenGL shader (not supported)
