[Show comments] [Show snapshots] [Show videos] [Show content] [Show crashlogs] This is a quick port for OS4 of the SDL action game 'Njam' v1.21 by author Milan Babuskov. OS4 port by Sharakmir (Kjell Breding). Njam URL: http://njam.sourceforge.net/ (where you can find a lot of info!) Njam is fast-paced cross-platform pacman-like game written in C++ using SDL library. It has network duel support and a lot of nice features. More info about this game is found in the enclosed documentation (in the html drawer). RUNNING THE GAME - OS4 Just open a shell and type 'Njam_OS4' to get started. You can also start by clicking the game icon which starts the game in a full screen mode. If you want to play in window mode, start the game with 'Njam_OS4 -w'. A small issue: when entering the 'join network duel' in the main menu, it's not possible to type '.' when entering an ip address. To enter a ip address, edit njam.conf and type in the correct server ip address. E.g.: I=192.198.0.100 (I've set this address as default in njam.conf, feel free to change it to whatever works for you). This address is then used everytime you play the game. In case your opponents server ip changes, just edit njam.conf again. Sorry for this issue, will try to fix it. LEGAL STUFF All original source is in the Source folder together with the original makefile, named Makefile.orig. Njam is released under GNU GENERAL PUBLIC LICENSE, please read the file 'COPYING' for more info. To compile the game for OS4, make sure you have your SDL environment setup properly and use the Makefile to compile (type 'make' in the src folder). HISTORY v1.21 November 8th 2005: Compiled for OS4 by Sharakmir, Kjell Breding. Gameplay tested ok without any known issues so far. There is a small message when starting the game 'SDL_SetError: No display', but it's something I couldn't get rid of for now. -- A M I G A R U L E Z ! |
