Requirements:

AmigaOS >= 4.1

Installation:

Copy XADFileSystem L:
Copy MountXAD SYS:C/
Copy def_XAD0.info ENVARC:Sys/

Usage:

MountXAD <archive file>

After you are done with the archive file, unmount it with the Dismount
command:

Dismount XAD0:

Or use MountXAD with DISMOUNT switch:

MountXAD <archive file> DISMOUNT

If you mount more than one archive at the same time the second one will use
the device name XAD1: and the third XAD2: and so on.

MountXAD can also be used as a default tool for icons of archive files. In
this case double clicking the icon will either mount it or unmount it if it's
already mounted.

XADFileSystem unarchives files as they are accessed into a cache directory. By
default this is placed in T: which is usually in RAM: so if you're going to be
using XADFS with archives with a lot of big files you might consider pointing
this to a directory on your harddrive. This can easily be done using the
SetEnv command:

SetEnv SAVE XADFS_CACHE_DIR <cache directory>

F.e. to make XADFS store cache files in DH1:Temp just type:

SetEnv SAVE XADFS_CACHE_DIR DH1:Temp

Changes:

53.2 (6-Apr-2014)

- Fixed a copy/paste error in FSExamineDir() that caused the file size to be
stored in exd->Type instead of exd->FileSize.

53.1 (6-Apr-2014)

- Completely rewritten as a new-style vector port filesystem.

- Renamed XADFS_TEMP_DIR env variable to XADFS_CACHE_DIR.

- This is now an Open Amiga project.

See the Changelog file in the archive for a complete list of changes.
