[Show comments] [Show snapshots] [Show videos] [Show content] [Show crashlogs] This is SDL_perl 1.19.2 for amigaos 4.0. It requires the latest release of perl for amigaos4 on os4depot (5.8.5.03) It was written by David J. Goehrig ported by Andy Broad starting from some initial work by Alex Carmona. This archive contains both the "traditional" perl distro adapted to amigaos4 and a pre built archive. This is built against SDL 1.2.6 amd SDL_Mixer 1.2.5 rather than the later versions that came with the SDK. If you do not have these libraries or the full amigaos SDK installed then install by copying the contents of the directory SDK into your perl distribution. If you do have the correct libraries installed you may build from scratch. You also will want to do this if you have reconfigured your perl distribution and built from source. To install from scratch you must have the full Amigaos SDK. To install as a dynamic extention:- Unpack the archive and cd to the top directory, the same as this readme. Type sh perl Makefile.PL -GL make dynamic make test_dynamic make install This will install the required files in site_perl directory in your configured perl installation. The above tecnique is recomended as it updates varaious databases in the perl installation but if this doesn't work for you or you can't handle the idea of building for yourself (we're not all developers :-)) then copy the contents of the directory SDK into your SDK assign, this assumes that you have installed the binary distribution of perl unchanged.
