They are extra functions which are due to be added (or have been added) in libharu trunk but have not made a proper release. I don't know the state of it, but the one which comes with NetSurf shouldn't be overwritten by this one AFAIK.

@Chris If it has custom functionality why is it installed into global SOBJS: instead of PROGDIR: or PROGDIR:SObjs? In any case it doesn't stop anyone from using the static libraries.

I would be very careful when using this, as - unless things have changed - the official build is not fully compatible with the NetSurf build of this shared object. NetSurf versions prior to 2.5 use libhpdf with the same soname but additional functionality.
